Afghanistan – What You Aren’t Hearing – Part One

If you are like me, you’ve been mesmerized by the utter catastrophe unfolding in Kabul. The Taliban have taken over and demonstrated just how weak and untrustworthy America is. Forty-five years of effort in rebuilding confidence in the US, was lost in just hours. It’s a tragedy of shocking proportions, but it’s not the whole story.

As I have tried to reveal the truth behind this tragedy, I have discovered a tangled web of deceit, corruption and utter incompetence. And, I can only give you a piece of it.

The Wuhan Coronavirus – Some Real Truth

As we move into the second phase of this outbreak, we are starting to understand more and more about this virus. We know who is at greatest risk. We know what to do to avoid it. We are also beginning to understand that our fears about this virus are unnecessary. Being cautious is wise, being fearful is not.

Unfortunately, the hysterical media continue to pump out hysteria and deception. And, we’ll be seeing their clickbait headlines for a while longer, so remember who is engaging in these lies. As we move further into these Last Days, the fearmongers will only drag you down. So, ignore them.

Instead, show a dark and dying world what a true follower of Christ is really like.

The Wuhan Coronavirus – A Wuhan Pastor Responds

Most people do not realize that there are more real Christians in China than there are in the United States. With all the persecution that they have begun to suffer in China, the Christians there still number at least a hundred million. And, for years, they have been demonstrating what it means to follow Christ.

A recent example arrived in the form of an open letter from Pastor Tan Songhua of Cornerstone Church in Wuhan. This letter demonstrates exactly how we Christians should be approaching an outbreak like this. Not with fear, but with love and service to God.

2019 – The Difficult Year

At the beginning of January, it is a tradition to try and forecast the events of the coming year. And, I’ve tried to do that, every year, with limited success. Timing is not my strength, as I have demonstrated over the past few years. Having said that, there aren’t many who have done any better. So, I’m in good company.

However, there is one thing that I can predict with a great deal of confidence:

2019 will be difficult.

My fear is that this will be a great understatement. I certainly hope that it will be smooth sailing with perfect sunsets and fields of green. But, don’t bet on it.

O Suffering Town of Bethlehem…

Palestinian Muslims have been persecuting Christians from day one, and that persecution has driven out almost all the Christians from Bethlehem. Those that are left are a die-hard few that may be forced to leave  – or die – as the persecution of Christians increases.

Yet, you will hear none of this in the mainstream media.

And, as this persecution reared its awful head, the leadership of Bethlehem begged Israel to take over. Israel wanted to help, but the world demanded that Israel step aside.

Islam has become a scourge upon the world, something that is easy to see in Bethlehem, the birthplace of our Lord and Savior.
