Putin’s Great Energy Heist

I finished writing When Gog Comes two weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In that book, I asked:

What happens when a strong nation needs what a weak nation has?

Ukraine looked weak, and they had what Putin wanted. So, he chose to invade.

What was it that Ukraine had, that Putin wanted?

The second largest natural gas reserves in Europe. The sixth largest coal reserves in the world. Plenty of oil.

Russia wants what Ukraine has, so they went to war to get it. Unfortunately, this will not be the last energy war.

The ride of the Red Horse, was never going to be very fun.

A Major Release For The Most Hated Book On Eschatology

Today, I just completed a major revision of When Gog Comes, and I don’t know of any pastor, Bible teacher, theologian or writer on the Last Days that would like what is in this book. In fact, they’ll hate it.

Why?

They don’t have a choice, if they want to keep their jobs – since this book knocks down all of their theories. Pre-trib, Post-trib, Amill, PostMill… they all get wrecked by what I’ve shown – from the Bible itself.

So, this book may turn out to be the most hated book on eschatology in… well …ever.

And, it needs to be.

Winter Is Coming

While we have been in a panic over a virus, something has crept up on us. I’ve been screaming about it for years, and it seems that the leading edges of this catastrophe may have arrived:

Peak Energy

We hit Peak Oil years ago, and we thought that things could be fixed by shifting the goalposts. You and I know that this never works, but we tried it anyway. And now that Fall has begun, we have a problem.

Winter is coming, and people will die.

If I was the only one saying this, I’d feel better about what’s coming.

A Switch To The NKJV And More Evidence That Our Civilization Is Toast

That’s it.

I can’t take it anymore.

I had been trying to read through the Bible this year, using the ESV. And, I got halfway through before giving up. There are too many errors, and some of them are deliberate. And then, there’s the issue of the ESV basing their New Testament translation on corrupt manuscripts.

It’s just too much, so I’ve finally switched to the New King James Version (NKJV). It also makes translation mistakes, but there seem to be fewer of those, and they used better manuscripts.

Why did Crossway need to be so corrupt?

Oh, and we have more evidence that our civilization is toast.

Does The Black Horse Ride?

I’ve been yelling about this for a decade, and now it’s about to become all too obvious. They’re blaming the global rise in food prices on COVID, but eventually… they won’t be able to ignore the collapse in oil reserves. And, the people who will suffer the most, will be the poor.

It’s the ride of the Black Horse.

If humanity had been smarter, less greedy, more moral, this could have been avoided. But, from the moment that Adam took that first bite of the forbidden, we were doomed. So, what-might-have-beens aren’t important.

Just brace yourself for terrible times.
