2019 – The Difficult Year

At the beginning of January, it is a tradition to try and forecast the events of the coming year. And, I’ve tried to do that, every year, with limited success. Timing is not my strength, as I have demonstrated over the past few years. Having said that, there aren’t many who have done any better. So, I’m in good company.

However, there is one thing that I can predict with a great deal of confidence:

2019 will be difficult.

My fear is that this will be a great understatement. I certainly hope that it will be smooth sailing with perfect sunsets and fields of green. But, don’t bet on it.

The End of a Nation

We are so broken that, as I sit here, I’m not sure where to begin. We have Nazis murdering Jews, in the worst antisemitic atrocity in the history of America. Our children are fleeing Christ in record numbers. We face the prospect of having to vote for someone evil in the elections, because someone MORE evil is the alternative. And then, the one person who sees the future the most clearly said that this month marks the beginning of something major – and not in a good way.

When Martin Armstrong says ‘Buckle Up!’, it might be time to head for the hills.

Stop the Self-Deception

It’s hard to see the truth, with all the lies swirling about. And, there seem to be fewer and fewer people that you can trust.

So, how do you get to the truth?

That’s a tough one, especially since your first opponent on the road to truth is yourself. You – yes you – are an incredible obstacle to seeing the truth. This is true for all of us.

The question is…

…Are you willing to let go of yourself, to find something as precious as the truth?

I have to keep telling myself this, which is why I’m telling you.

You will never see the truth, if you keep standing in the way of it.

The Four Horsemen and the Grand Solar Minimum

For two thousand years, we have been pondering the ‘Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’. They have captured our imaginations and our fears. When a new ‘would-be’ emperor rises, we wondered if HE was the guy on the white horse. When internal conflict arose, we thought of the red horseman. Scarcity and famine made us think of the black horse, and when epidemics ripped through our world, we thought of the pale horse. But, for two thousand years, we’ve been consistently wrong.

So, when do they ride?

I had reason to think about this over the past week, since the sun might be ready to throw our civilization into chaos.

A Superheated Society

The developed world teeters on the brink of explosion, and the average member of our great societies, doesn’t not have a clue. They lack the knowledge to know how precarious their existence is. Even those of us who DO see the warning signs, see so many of them that we aren’t sure which is the one that will finally cause the explosion.

One good analogy is superheated water. It stays calm, even under more and more heat, only because you have added more and more pressure. Eventually, the pressure becomes too great (or not great enough), and there’s an explosion.

One day, our superheated society will have a superheated explosion.
