Preparing for the Worst – The Weekend Shock Letter for July 17th, 2020

The amount of bad news is shocking. We saw this coming years ago, but it was always on the horizon. Years away, not weeks. But now, the world has gone insane, and that leaves us with an important question:

Are you ready for the worst?

The collapse of America and Europe has already begun. All that we are arguing about now, is how fast the collapse will be.

Are you going to bet that this disaster will not affect you very much?

I hope not. Smart people prepare for the worst and pray that it never hits them.

The Weekend Shock Letter for May 16th, 2020

As we drift away from Wuhan Coronavirus hysteria, we are starting to see more of the news that this pandemic has been obscuring. And some of it is pretty dire. The fulfillment of Isaiah 19 begins in July. Obamagate has hit the headlines. General Flynn has been exonerated. Gog rises – maybe.

Of course, we still need to talk about the pandemic and what it has revealed about our government, our society and our values. And, if you haven’t started preparing… you need to.

All of this and more, is what I saw over the past week. And, I will do my best to help you describe the what, the why and the how of its significance.

The Weekend Shock Letter for May 9th, 2020

[EDIT: I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT I GOT THE TITLE WRONG! THANKS FOR CATCHING THIS STEVE. – JL]

I’ve been struggling to find a happy medium between deep-dive articles and videos that I’m doing now, and the news analysis that I used to do. Both are needed, but there are only so many hours in the day to do something like this.

Hopefully, this represents that ‘happy medium’.

We’ll see.

The events that we see now, will lead to the complete collapse of civilization as we know it. And, you need to put each of these events into a proper perspective of that collapse. You need to recognize what you are seeing in today’s headlines.

So, let’s go look at those headlines.

2019 – The Difficult Year

At the beginning of January, it is a tradition to try and forecast the events of the coming year. And, I’ve tried to do that, every year, with limited success. Timing is not my strength, as I have demonstrated over the past few years. Having said that, there aren’t many who have done any better. So, I’m in good company.

However, there is one thing that I can predict with a great deal of confidence:

2019 will be difficult.

My fear is that this will be a great understatement. I certainly hope that it will be smooth sailing with perfect sunsets and fields of green. But, don’t bet on it.

The Cat has Landed

Hi Everyone!

I had hoped to be up and running at full speed by now, but our move to Tainan became more than just a simple Christmas Eve move. It was one of the worst moves that I’ve done, partly because I’m a lot older than when I started down this road of living ‘overseas’.

More than 20 moves in more than 25 years. And, this from someone who HATES to move. Of course, each of those moves has been a way for God to convince me that I didn’t need as much stuff as I had. And, if I accumulated too much of that useless ‘stuff’, my back and knees would pay for it.

And, they do.

(sigh)
