Genocide has always been a part of human history. And, I spent some time on Sunday, walking through a genocidal moment in time that I normally try very hard not to think about. I was at Yad Vashem. It was The Holocaust. And, it was the most cold-blooded, efficient and industrialized mass-murder in the history of mankind.
It was also a snapshot of our future.

On Monday, I took the Jerusalem Light Rail from end-to-end. I had suffered through too many years of streets torn up and insufferable construction delays… to pass up a chance to take the train at least once. And, it’s a great train. Little did I know that it would take me through more than a hundred years of hope, genocide, terror and conflict.
And, foolishness. Utter foolishness.
The story of the Jewish people will be our story, if we do not pay attention to the evil that lies before us. What they did to the Jews, they will do to us.
Our enemies will be satisfied by nothing less than genocide, terror and death for all who love and serve God.
I have a story of a miracle – of a little boy that God brought through unimaginable trial and tribulation. It’s a story of a miracle that helped build the Body of Christ in Israel.
We all love a good story – the bigger, the better. We talk about how good we are – how great our society is. And, we hire story tellers to give us those stories. Our story tellers talk to us from the television and radio. They write the stories in our newspapers, magazines and books. We send our children to school to learn the stories. We go to churches that tell us the stories we want to hear. And, we put our best story tellers in government. For the past three days, we’ve talked about an awful subject, genocide. Worse, that genocide is directed at North America. Worse even than that is the dispassionate view that Chi Haotian – and other Chinese leaders like him – has towards the whole idea of murdering hundreds of millions of people for the purpose of finding lebensraum (living space) for the Chinese people.
