How Much of the KJV is Catholic? (And Other Thoughts)

To my horror, I have discovered that at least some of the King James Version of the Bible was translated from the Roman Catholic Bible, the Latin Vulgate. For decades, the KJV was my favorite Bible. The verses that I remember, are KJV verses. And, while I knew that there were errors in the KJV, I had not been sure about where those errors came from.

Unfortunately, I now see the fingerprints of Rome all over this.

The question is… how much?

How much of the KJV is Catholic?

Since I don’t know, I now have to be extra careful and double-check every verse with the original language. And, that’s infuriating.

And, in ‘other thoughts’, I talk about China’s genocidal intentions towards Taiwan and two important warnings from Martin Armstrong.

I got a nasty shock on Sunday. A big one that has shaken me more than just a little. But before I get into that, let me provide some background.

As you know, I am outraged over how the King James Version (KJV) corrupts of the words of Jesus in Luke 21:36. The KJV says that we should pray that we would be accounted worthy to escape the Great Tribulation, while Jesus ACTUALLY said that we should pray that we are strong enough to escape the Great Tribulation. And, I know the real words of Jesus because I looked at the original Greek that those words were recorded in.

Unfortunately, many of our brothers and sisters do not understand the difference between the words of God and the KJV. The KJV is a translation made by men who may not have been real Christians. The actual words of God in the New Testament were written down in Greek. And, it’s not hard to find them.

If you want to read the legitimate, pure and authentic words of God in the New Testament, you need to learn Greek. More specifically, ancient Greek. For the Old Testament, you need to learn Hebrew and maybe some Aramaic.

Unfortunately, not all of us can do that, so we are stuck with having to read a translation. And, even if you did learn Greek and Hebrew, you still would not be absorbing it with the language that you grew up with – your ‘heart language’. The Bible is meant to be absorbed, consumed and immersed in. It is meant for you to read all the way through, over and over and over, for all of your life. You need to let the Bible invade, saturate and even infect the very core of who you are. And, you need to do that in a language that makes sense to you – at the very center of who you are.

That’s why you need a translation.

Unfortunately, translators make mistakes. Some are harmless. Some are odious. And some… Some are truly Satanic. And, I believe that the corruption of Luke 21:36, by the Anglican translators of the King James Version, is in that Satanic column – especially, when I found out WHY it was corrupted in this way.

Would the Pretribulation Rapture lie have been able to infect so many Christians, if the real words of Jesus had been available to us?

For me, the answer is no.

I doubt that John Nelson Darby would have been able to poison us with his false ideas, if we all knew that we had to be strong enough to get through the Great Tribulation. So, the KJV corrupted our understanding of what was coming by saying that you needed to be ‘accounted worthy’ to escape – meaning, good enough in the eyes of God to keep you from being harmed. And, Darby doubled down on this corruption of the Bible by repeating it in his own corrupted ‘translation’.

Furthermore, being ‘accounted worthy’ is a very, very Roman Catholic idea. For Catholics, you need to be ‘good enough’ to make it to heaven. You need to have enough good works. And, if you don’t have enough goodness to make it, you’ll need to pay a priest to pray and afflict himself on your behalf. In Roman Catholicism faith is secondary.

Well, after church on Sunday, I was talking to friends about how awful the King James Version had corrupted Luke 21:36. Before I had even gotten a tiny bit of my outrage expressed, one friend calmly pulled out the English Standard Version and showed me that the ESV translated it correctly.

Talk about being deflated. I was ready to launch into a towering diatribe, and my friend had already beaten me to the punch. Then, when I asked about how it was possible to make such a simple and awful mistake, that same friend showed me where the ‘mistake’ had come from:

The Roman Catholic Bible

Also known as the Latin Vulgate

I was shocked, horrified and outraged – all at once. (No surprise, right?)

To find out that the precious words of Jesus had been corrupted by the most evil organization on earth was beyond sickening. But, the fact that Anglicans had inflicted this corruption on us for four hundred years was even worse. And then, to add a final touch of evil to all of it, many pastors have doubled down on this corruption and called it ‘anointed by God’.

For more than a thousand years, the Roman Catholic Church murdered our brothers and sisters by the thousands and millions. And, they used the most obscene tortures known to man, in their attempt to stamp us out. And, at the same time, they engaged in every form of political and spiritual corruption possible.

And, Anglican translators used the bible of the Enemy to translate the KJV.

And no, The Anglican Church is not Christian. There might be Christians within the Anglican Church. There might even be Anglican Clergy who are true Christians. Anything is possible, and I am not here to judge the salvation of anyone. What I am here to do is judge the fruit of these people. And, just like all the other harlot daughters of Rome, the Anglicans have tortured and murdered many of our brothers and sisters.

In fact, one of the reasons why the United States of America exists today, is that Christians fled Anglican persecution, in search of freedom to worship God.

That’s right. The false church that translated the KJV also persecuted and murdered our brothers and sisters. If that doesn’t make you pause and think, I don’t know what will.

Yet, we have pastors who will hold up this Anglican bible, the KJV, and proclaim that this translation was inspired by God and is without error. And, I just do not understand why a pastor would repeat a lie like that. These men should know better than to say something so deeply and obviously wrong.

What are they?

Secret Anglicans?

For decades, we have had concordances, dictionaries and interlinear Bibles to help us see the errors in the KJV. These tools have their own errors. They aren’t perfect, but they have made it clear for a very, very long time that there are deep errors in the King James Version. They aren’t hard to find.

So, why are our pastors proclaiming that the KJV is without fault?

Again, are they secret Anglicans?

And no, I really don’t know the answer. But, I do know that our seminaries are full of proud and corrupt ‘doctors of theology’ who value their jobs more than the truth. I’ve talked about this before, and I am truly disgusted. If you went to a seminary, you’ve been poisoned.

Unfortunately, the question remains:

How much of the KJV is Catholic?

I just don’t know. And, since I don’t know, I will need to double down on my efforts to double check every verse from the Bible that I quote. And it’s exhausting. But, with so much error being passed around, it is an absolute necessity.

Please. I’m begging you.

You must understand what the one true Bible actually is.

The Corruption of Daniel 8:12

Okay, so you get it that I’m upset and outraged over translation errors in the Bible. I do that a lot because I hate lies and corruption and love the truth more than life itself. And all of that is why Omega Shock exists. You are in danger because you are being lied to, and you need to know that. But, let’s get back to corruption in Bible translation.

Every translation seems to make errors. I am probably making errors, myself. And, as I am re-editing my book When Jacob Returns and double-checking what I wrote, I continue to find errors in Bible translations that I completely missed the first time, and it’s maddening. So, when I find an error, I am doing my very best to find a translation of the Bible that comes as close as possible to the original Greek and Hebrew.

Again, remember that THE BIBLE is the one given to us by God, written in Hebrew, Greek and some Aramaic. For most of you, the Bible that you hold in your hand (or, in your smartphone) is a TRANSLATION. I truly hope that you understand the difference between THE BIBLE and a TRANSLATION of the Bible. It’s important.

The good thing is that the New English Translation (NET) seems to have fewer errors than other translations. I’m surprised by this, since I am very, very suspicious of modern translations. Unfortunately, the NET still gets things wrong, as we’ll see later. And, they also stick in ‘footnotes’ that actually corrupt the translations that they made. So, the NET gets good points for doing their best to be faithful to THE BIBLE, but we subtract all those ‘good points’ because they have awful footnotes that twist everything out of shape.

So, as I was laying out the evidence for the First Army of the Antichrist, I ran into this verse:

The army was given over, along with the daily sacrifice, in the course of his sinful rebellion. It hurled truth to the ground and enjoyed success.

Daniel 8:12 (NET)

Since I have been hammering on the KJV, here’s what it says:

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Daniel 8:12 (KJV)

Notice the key differences. Unfortunately, both verses are incorrect. In fact, there isn’t a single English translation of the Bible that gets that verse right. And, I’m wondering if this is an example of God telling Daniel to ‘seal up the vision’, as it says in Daniel 8:26:

The vision of the evenings and mornings that was told to you is correct. But you should seal up the vision, for it refers to a time many days from now.”

Daniel 8:26 (NET)

So, Daniel 8 was always going to be a difficult chapter to translate. I’m not even sure that I am able to translate Daniel 8:12 correctly, myself. But, there is one thing that I CAN do. I can actually give a word-for-word translation of that verse without inserting my own bias into it. (Or, at least… I think that I can.)

Anyway, here’s my version:

And an army will be given on the daily [sacrifice?] in transgression, and it will throw truth [to the] ground. And it did this and was successful.

– Daniel 8:12 (John Little Version)

That is pretty much a literal translation of that verse. You can make your own attempt, here:

Even that link makes errors in Hebrew grammar. And, those errors are understandable since the verse appears to be deliberately cryptic. The word על (pronounced: ahl) does NOT mean oppose. It means ‘on’ or ‘above’. For instance, the Israeli airline, אל על (EL AL), literally means TO ABOVE. The word על NEVER means oppose.

Also, the word ‘sacrifices’ is not in the original Hebrew. The word is התמיד (pronounced: ha tah-meed), and it means ‘the always’ or ‘the perpetual’ or ‘the continuous’. But, since that word is almost always associated with temple sacrifices… the translator gets a ‘passing grade’ for using the word ‘sacrifice’.

The big mistake comes when they try to translate בפשע (pronounced: beh-payshah). That word literally means ‘in transgression’. The first letter ב is a prefix that means ‘in’. It NEVER means ‘for’ or ‘because’. This is a bad move for all of the translations. It’s as if they forgot their Hebrew and didn’t know that ב does NOT mean ‘in the course of’ or ‘by reason of’. That might be a reasonable INTERPRETATION, but that’s not what the Bible says.

Bible translators should translate the Bible and not interpret it. Interpretation should be the job of the reader – with the aid and help of the Holy Spirit.

However, because this passage is deliberately cryptic, I can understand a little of the challenge in translating this verse. And, one of the cryptic elements is the question about WHO is in transgression.

Are the daily sacrifices in transgression?

Is the army in transgression?

Is the Antichrist in transgression?

Is it all three?

I actually think that it’s all three. But, it appears – at a minimum – that the sacrifices are in transgression. Whatever the case, it is unusual for Hebrew grammar to be this unclear. And, I find that to be very interesting.

By the way, here is a link to a comparison of 52 different English translations of Daniel 8:12:

They all get it wrong. All of them. Some come closer than others, but as you go through them, it is clear that a lot of these translators are weaving in their own view of eschatology. And that is a sin.

Some of these translators were obvious Preterists, since it’s clear that they were claiming that this chapter refers to AD 70, when Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed. And, to twist the translation of Daniel 8, with that belief is a foul and evil thing. But, I would even say that about those who wove in an interpretation that I agreed with.

I don’t care how right you are, putting your own interpretation of the Bible, into the Bible, is deadly wrong. No one should ever, Ever, EVER do that. No matter how right you think that you are, it is still a sin in the eyes of God. And, great damage has been done to our understanding of God and His intentions, because translators inserted their beliefs where they do not belong.

In fact, I believe that a large part of the blame for the current confusion over prophesies of the Last Days is due to sinful translations. And, in our ignorance of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, we have allowed them to sin against us and against God. And, you need to know that these translations have damaged your ability to see what God wants you to see.

The more that I have dug into this, the more horrified that I have become over the evil that has been done to us.

And now for something completely different…

China Wants To Kill Me And 23 Million Taiwanese

I love Taiwan. I have lived here for ten years, and it’s a beautiful place that is full of beautiful people. (Along with some morons, but that’s true everywhere.) And, you can see beauty of this island, by just watching the following video:

Don’t go to Taiwan – Travel film by Tolt #16

I love that title. It’s pure reverse psychology and thoroughly tongue-in-cheek. Awesome.

And yeah, I personally know most of what is in this video. I’ve been there. So, think about all of that, as you consider this important fact:

China wants to kill me and 23 million Taiwanese.

All of that beauty. All of those people. Everything that you see in that video. China wants to kill and destroy. They want us dead, and I take that a bit personally.

True, they would prefer that everyone on this island bow down and agree to be enslaved and abused by the Chinese Communist Party, but since the Taiwanese don’t want that… They have to die. And yes, that is exactly how the rulers of China think.

You bow, or you die.

It’s that simple.

If you need confirmation, just look at the blood-soaked history of China. In one sense, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is just like every other Chinese dynasty in Chinese history – by killing everyone and their families and their neighbors, if they did not agree to being slaves. Every dynasty in China did this to its own people. Every. Single. One.

Unfortunately, there is a far more demonic twist to this attempt to murder all who do not accept slavery. The Chinese Communists are trying to do more than just enslave our bodies and our actions. They also seek to enslave our minds and our souls.

What Xi Jinping and his thugs are trying to do is evil beyond belief. And, I sometimes struggle to understand how a government like the CCP can be so evil. But, since I lived in Israel for 15 years, I know a little bit about what evil looks like. The Evil in the heart of Islam is very, very close to the evil in the heart of the CCP.

In fact, you could call Taiwan the Israel of the Far East.

Unfortunately, the mainstream media isn’t telling you very much about what China intends to do to Taiwan. In fact, they probably aren’t telling you anything about Taiwan. But, I live near an airbase, in southern part of this island. And, I hear the jets roar overhead as they scramble to intercept yet another incursion by the communist Chinese air force.

And, it almost seems like it’s happening every day now.

Two Warnings Connected To The US Election From Martin Armstrong

I came across two warnings from Martin Armstrong that you need to pay attention to. They are both connected to the US election and they come from these two posts at Armstrong Economics:

Podesta & Military Coup?

Migration Patterns & the Risks Behind the US Election

They are short and important, so I will quote them here:

Podesta & Military Coup?

I seriously doubt that the majority of people even think this election is anything but normal. Many hate Trump simply because of his Tweets. Others cannot even explain why they hate him so much. This has been an information war from RussiaGate to Impeachments. The divide between Republicans and Democrats has never been this significant since the civil war. The worse part of this has been just how intense hatred has entered the game. This is no longer just politics – it is all about the future and human rights.

There has been an intense battle to overthrow Trump which is an international effort because they see him as standing in the way of their global goals of this New Green Socialist Agenda. They are applying pressure on fund managers to end all investment in China and Russia to bring them to their knees to accept this global agenda. Our computer warns that effort will fail. While our computer also warns of this being the most corrupt election in American history, we have been forecasting for more than a decade, I have stated plenty of times, nobody will accept a political loss this time around.

There was a group of former top government officials in which they called themselves the Transition Integrity Project where they played a game as they did at EVENT 201 for this virus. They had four possible scenarios, which even include one that looked like 2016 where they would lose the Electoral College. Mr. Podesta played Mr. Biden, and he responded that his party wouldn’t let him concede as Hillary had done alleging voter suppression. Podesta then persuaded the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to send pro-Biden electors to the Electoral College to change the vote.

They also played out a scenario where a Trump victory would lead to California, Oregon, and Washington moving to secede from the United States. He also played that if the Electoral College could not make a decision because of the delays from the mail-in votes, then the House leader, Pelosi, would name Mr. Biden president. The Senate and White House would reject that and support  Mr. Trump. At that point, Podesta would turn to the military to remove Trump.

Never in the history of any election, has there ever been such a political war game played. This warns what our computer has been forecasting about the rise in civil unrest and the risk that this will prove to be the most corrupt election in American history.

I have also warned that Trump was not my concern. My biggest concern has been what comes AFTER Trump. It does not appear that we will still have elections post-2024 going into 2032. Even a Trump victory may buy us a few more years, but we must face the fact that we are spiraling down into political chaos and there will be no coming back. Clearly, the financial capital of the world will shift to Asia. This battle is more than defeating Trump, it is about changing the United States to join a greater socialist agenda which is on target from the previous revolutionary attempts since 1848.

Migration Patterns & the Risks Behind the US Election

QUESTION: Being there is lots of trouble coming after the election, does Socrates see a mass exit of people to other countries ie Canada?

ANSWER: No, the indication is the opposite. It appears people are moving into the midwest and selected areas in the south, particularly Florida. We are running two major projects: (1) country by country analysis, and (2) state by state analysis to determine the election. It appears that we will NOT know who the president is at best until December, and at worst, into January 2021. This mail-in vote and states deliberately locking down again to prevent voting are all designed to create total chaos for the election.

We now have the military establishment suggesting that the military should intervene in the election. General Milley has been urged to remove Trump ‘by force’ if he refuses to leave office by other retired generals on behalf of the left-wing agenda. This is falling in like with Podesta’s comments from his war game rehersal for the election. But make no mistake about it, the elite in the military would love to remove Trump under any excuse, as they did against Kennedy, so that they can invade Syria and confront Russia.

Russia’s EMP program is not fully appreciated or understood. If they could reach the level of a major satellite EMP cannon, they could take out the internet and electronic communications in the USA, paralyzing the ability to respond. So far, their EMP weapon as described more closely resembles microwave guns, a kind of directed energy weapon that’s seeing modern usage as an anti-drone tool with a range up to 10k. Russia is NOT defenseless, and the US military establishment may be biting off more than they can chew with their arrogance.

I strongly advise everyone to pay careful attention to what Martin Armstrong says. We are moving into horrifyingly bad times, and people do not realize what is coming.

As Armstrong says, 2024 will likely see the last American election.

Think about that.

I truly hope that you’ll be ready for this

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.Proverbs 22:3

10 thoughts on “How Much of the KJV is Catholic? (And Other Thoughts)”

  1. Hello John,

I’ve been reading your website for a number of years and thank you for speaking the truth all this time.

Concerning translations of the Bible, I know that the Pilgrims used the Geneva translation due to the KJV not in print at the time of their journey the New World. I know that Jacob Prasch has mentioned this before, so I am very curious about your thoughts on this.

Just as an FYI, I’m originally from Ohio but now live in Michigan. I can tell you first hand, that people here have lost their minds over this COVID-19 situation. I’ve told a few people that in the past, most people had no issues “hooking up” and doing a one-night stands with complete strangers all the while being totally doped up. So, why are they all going crazy over this now? I’ve seen that the media has done a wonderful job scaring people to no end and doing such a good job that people have not even thought about they went about their lives previously – even the ones who were totally into the “hook up” culture here in the US. It is like as if people went from being Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde and not have even thought about why and how this has happened to them. I’m thinking this is just one of the “strong delusions” that the Lord warned would happen to people who have turned their backs on Him.

I see that the USA has totally lost it’s moral compass and has reached a point of no return.

It’s absolutely astonishing to see much the USA has fallen since 2000.

I pray that God keeps you safe and healthy during these times.

    • Hi Ron,

Thank you. I have not looked at the Geneva Bible closely. The irony is that I have tried hard to stay out of any controversy over Bible translation – except when I stub my toe on something really bad. Like Luke 21:36, and the Latin Vulgate.

Anyway, I will go and bookmark a search into The Geneva Bible, and see if I can carve out some time to research this properly.

As for the collapse of morality, it’s shocking. When I returned to the US in 2006, I could hardly believe what I was seeing and hearing. Even Christians had jumped into the hookup culture.

I don’t want to see America destroyed, but I just don’t see any other option – knowing that God is just, and that there is a limit to how much He will tolerate.

Keep up the good work, Ron. Rough days ahead.

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little

  2. Dear John,
Praying for you there in Taiwan. The Lord placed you there for such a time as this.

    I have a question.
I feel that Rioters in the US, are being paid large amounts of money. Think they get a bonus for amount if destruction and the length of the Chaos.

Does Martin Armstrong have confirmation of this?

    Thank you for your faithfulness

    • Hi Dotty Martin,

It’s hard to know who is paid, and how much, in this situation. Only after the fact will we get a chance to find out. By that time, it will be too late.

As for Armstrong, he sees the hand of Soros and his ilk in all of this. But, there’s a limit to how much detail even he can see, at this moment.

Thank you, Dotty. I really appreciate your prayers.

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little

  3. Hi John,
of course you are right about Luke 21:36, but there is something amazing about this error. At first I looked at Jerome (translator of Latin Vulgate) to find its origins, but it was earlier.
“Codex Vercellensis, the Earliest Surviving Manuscript of the Old Latin Gospels, Circa 350 CE” – Jerome was a child (or not even born) at that time. “Accounted worthy” is clearly present, in latin, you can see it for yourself (page 131):
Of course it’s also repeated in all versions of Polish (Catholic) Bibles. So, I googled digital version of Luther Bible, only to see the same again, in German. Then I looked there:
In XVI century a panel of Polish Calvinist scholars (speaking both Greek and Hebrew) had their chance and, guess what? They decided to copy Vulgate version, this time in Polish. Apparently, knowing Greek is not enough.
    Yours in Christ

  4. Hello brother,

Regarding our English translations of the Word of God, my understanding is that there are basically two streams of source documents from which they are translated. Most new versions come down from Roman (Catholic) sources (think Jesuits here again). My understanding is that the KJV comes to us from the sources basically preserved and passed down through the true church. This is why the Catholic “church” (Jesuits) burned and outlawed any Bibles in our native tongues, first and foremost because they didn’t want us to have God’s Word, but also because they didn’t want any sources used except their corrupted sources.

Specifically regarding the NET, here is a comment from a fellow Christian on a forum. I can send along plenty of article links on this matter.

“The NET is just another attack on the Bible in a long line of English translations based on the wrong Hebrew and Greek text. The Greek text from which the NET New Testament was translated from is the same Westcott and Hort type text that the NIV is based on. There is a huge difference between the Greek text which underlies the KJV compared to the text which underlies the modern versions such as NET, NIV, NASV, and others.

The Greek text used for the modern versions New Testament have 2,886 Greek words LESS than the Received Text used for the King James Bible. The Greek text which the modern versions are translated from have added, subtracted, or changed 9,970 Greek words compared to the Received Text underlying the KJV.

Here are just a few examples of the errors in the NET:

Matthew 17:21 — COMPLETELY removed from NET.
KJV says “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
The footnotes in the NET bible say, “This verse…is almost certainly not original.”

Matthew 18:11 — COMPLETELY removed from NET.
KJV says, “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.”
Footnotes in NET says that this verse “is almost certainly not original, being borrowed, as it were, from the parallel in Luke 19:10.”

Matthew 23:14 — COMPLETELY removed from NET.
KJV says, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.”
NET footnotes says this verse “is almost certainly not original.”

Mark 7:16 — COMPLETELY removed from NET.
The King James Bible says, “If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.”
NET footnotes says this verse “is almost certainly not an original part of the Greek text of Mark.”

The list goes on and on. The footnotes reveal the Modernism and unbelief of the authors. Satan did the same thing to Eve in the garden, planting the seed of doubt in her mind, “Yea, hath God said…?”

The Holy Bible is the Christian’s Sword. God has promised to preserve His Words. The King James Bible is a faithful English translation of the exact Hebrew/Aramaic and Greek words that were given by inspiration of God.

Psalms 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever”

I hope you find this helpful.

    • Hi Elmer Sturgeon,

I truly wish that the KJV was a result of faithful Christians preserving the original words of God. But, this is not the case.

The KJV was translated by Anglicans, and is full of errors. And, those errors are easy to see when comparing the KJV to the original Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic text. You just cannot avoid them.

I appreciate your passion, Elmer. But, we need to remember that the KJV is an Anglican translation, and I doubt that any of us are able to accept Anglicans as faithful brethren in Christ.

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little
