You might not have noticed yet, but a lot has improved behind the scenes of Omega Shock. There’s a new, faster server and new layers of security.
Omega Shock has been under assault for a long time and the web server wasn’t handling it very well. I don’t know who is responsible for all the attacks, but it looks like the more normal kind of dirtbags who try to hijack sites to send out spam and malware. However, there are a few Aloha Snackbar types that might have darker motives.
For those of you who are interested in such things, the new hosting provider is A2 Hosting. They are fast, reliable, honest, and they do not allow pornography on their servers. My previous web host – Hostmonster – is an EIG company that was not fast, is not reliable and is not honest. Furthermore, EIG hosting companies allow pornography on their servers, even when they claim that they do not. And, EIG uses some of the dirtiest marketing tricks out there.
Never go with EIG.
Here’s a little bit of information on EIG, for those who are thinking about setting up a website:
As Full As Possible List of EIG Companies and Brands With Details (Beware EIG Hosting!)
For those of you who want more advice/information on the subject of websites and web servers, leave a comment. I’m happy to help out with what I know.
Lord willing, a lot more will be improving over the coming months.
Yours in Christ,
PS. A new article is almost ready to go, but I’m still working on all the email that I’ve received. I am grateful for all of your prayers and words of support, and I want to get your messages answered.
