Of all the years that I’ve been writing articles, I believe that 2017 is the most important. And, I’ve been writing since the mid ’90s. Only time will tell, whether I’m right (and write). And, 2018 might be even MORE momentous.
However, we’ll deal with 2018 later. Right now, we need to look back at this past year and examine what was important. But, I want to do that a bit differently than I normally do, at this time of year.

2017 Hits
Normally, I do a rundown of what happened over the past year, and why those events are important. But, I don’t really want to do that, this time.
Yes, 2017 was a momentous year. And, I don’t think that it’s possible to stress this enough. But, a rundown of the events that made it ‘momentous’, will miss the point.
Please remember that the Bible describes events in our future that will shake the soul of everyone on this planet. Some of those events have already begun. Some won’t occur until maybe next year, or the year after – or hopefully, years in our future. But, those events ARE in our future. And, most of you will still be alive, when they roll down upon us.
The headlines of our newspapers might preach a different message than the one in the Bible. Many are already beginning to proclaim that America is Great Again.
But, has anything really changed?
Our headlong race into the abyss is still pedal-to-the-metal. Our national debts still rise to the moon. Stock valuations are at their highest in history. The bond market is reached its peak and shows signs of imminent collapse. The Grand Solar Minimum moves forward, on schedule. Muslims flood into Europe and North America. More and more corruption is being revealed, every day, and nothing is being done about it.
In America, the US Navy is at a breaking point. The infrastructure of the US teeters on collapse. Homelessness is on rising rapidly, while the opioid crisis is worse than it has ever been.
The good news is that Donald Trump seems to be leading a movement to turn back the clock and regain some of what America has lost. And, he’s been living up to promises made on the campaign trail. I am surprised, and I hope to continually BE surprised.
I’m not sure if there is all that much that can turn this ship around, but I see President Trump doing everything that he can. At the very least, he gets points for trying. If he can drain the swamp, reduce government overreach, and shrink the cost of government, maybe the darkness can be held back for a bit longer.
But, I doubt it.
A Quick Point About January 1st
You’ll see, in the research section, a well researched discussion of why Christmas isn’t as pagan as some say. It also lays out some evidence – but, only some – that December ‘might’ have been the birth month of Jesus.

Do Not Let The Blinders Blind
Jesus spoke about blind teachers leading others in their blindness:

We are rapidly approaching the last part of the Last Days. A time is coming in which we will no longer have the time to try an open the eyes of the blind.
Now is the time to wake up. There is so little time left, and the deception that grips the hearts of our brothers and sisters grows in strength. If you let it overcome you, you and those that depend upon your leadership will suffer greatly.
And, it is my purpose, here with Omega Shock, to help you survive what is already at our door and avoid the terrible suffering of those too blind to see it come.

Jesus said that the attempt would be completely convincing to everyone except the elect. And, Jesus called us to watch for it, to be ready for it.

My point is that you need to be VERY cynical about claims that don’t add up. And, if it is hard to know what does and does not ‘add up’, you need to develop those mental muscles required to do such ‘addition’.
To put it another way, always ask why someone says such and such. There’s always a reason, and most of those reasons are pretty awful.
My hope is that we will all make it through the dark days ahead and find a moment in time to compare notes on the deceptions that we have each overcome.

Jesus spoke of Jerusalem – also known as Zion – as a key identifier of the Last Days. The prophets of the Old Testament who are the biggest source of information on the Last Days, also write about the physical land of Israel being key to the Last Days.

You START With The Words Of Jesus
The other point that I would like to add in respect to this is the centrality of Jesus. And, we often forget this as we delve into the details of what is coming. So, we need to remember the latter part of this verse:
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
– Revelation 19:10
That ‘testimony’ isn’t the words spoken by others that Jesus is God, that He died and rose again for our salvation. No, that ‘testimony’ literally means the personal witness of the person being described. It is the words of Jesus Christ HIMSELF that are the spirit of prophecy.
This means that you START with the words of Jesus Christ, when you want to understand prophecy. And, when you start with the words of Jesus, the pretribulation rapture hoax falls apart.

And no, Zion is NOT Israel.
Please let that sink in a bit, because there has been a lot of foolishness about this topic. And, this point needs to be addressed directly and properly.
CONCLUSION
It is vital that you understand the importance and centrality of Jerusalem – aka, Zion. This isn’t some theoretical exercise in which we are free to take any position, comfortable in the thought that we will suffer no ill effects from being wrong.
No, this is life and death.
For you and for those that you love.
We are in the Last Days, and this period of time began 50 years ago. It is now time to face the implications of that and redouble our efforts to warn our brothers and sisters that the worst of times is upon us.

Poor Jeremiah was a righteous man who did his very best to warn the people of God, to repent and escape the wrath that God was going to pour out upon Judah. Some listened and saved themselves, but most did not. And, Jeremiah had to watch the rebels among God’s people destroy themselves and everyone around them.

It takes just 70 hours and 40 minutes to read your Bible. That’s less than 15 minutes a day. That’s it. That’s all that it takes.
Why is it so hard for you to spare that 15 or 20 minutes of time?

How we got to where we are is utterly fascinating. What an intricate series of events and historical movements that led us to this horrific moment in time.
For thousands of years, we’ve been puzzling over how the prophecies of the Last Days would be fulfilled. Well, we no longer need to puzzle over it. We now have most of the pieces and a better understanding of the picture.

PIECE #1: Energy
People have been ridiculing Peak Oil for a while, not really understanding what they were talking about. Peak Oil isn’t about the END of oil. It’s just about the cost of getting oil out of the ground.
When the cost of getting oil out of the ground gets too high, then we will stop drilling for it. It’s that simple.
Unfortunately, humanity has a problem. We don’t like to lower our standards of living, which is why we go into debt when things turn bad. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that, but I certainly have.
Oil brought us TO the Last Days, and its rapid decline will play a big role in making the Last Days horrific. Even as we speak, China is getting ready to start a war in the South China Sea, over oil. And, I believe that a big reason for the coming of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39) will be due to oil – or a close cousin, natural gas.
PIECE #2: Cycles Of Empire And War
I have to thank Martin Armstrong for really demonstrating this so well. There have been others who did their own work, showing that there were cycles in history. But, Martin really brought it home.
There really is a cycle to government, war, finance, peace and pretty much anything else in human behavior. Because our lives are short, we only see a small part of those cycles, but we have innumerable historians, whose work still lives on, that demonstrate these cycles.
PIECE #3: Grand Solar Minimum
I have been slowly-but-surely dragged into the understanding that we are due for a Grand Solar Minimum (GSM). If this is true, then we will experience the same conditions of previous GSMs.
What are those conditions?
PIECE #4: Self Delusion
In my 50 years of life, I have NEVER seen such self-delusion. It is everywhere. You can’t escape it. It’s as if our civilization has chosen insanity as a way of life.
How is this possible?
How have we gone so insane?
Europe invites hordes of barbarians into their midst. Our leaders claim that Islam is a religion of peace, ignoring more than a thousand years of history – and the evidence of our eyes. The Joel Richardson Flat Earth Challenge
I recently watched a video by Joel Richardson, where he issued a challenge to any Flat Earther who is willing to put his belief to the test. Joel said that he was willing to fly with a believer in a Flat Earth from Santiago, Chile to Sydney, Australia and back, on a direct flight on Qantas airlines.
If the Earth is flat, that flight should take 44 hours, one way.
However, Qantas says that the flight takes about 12 hours, one way.

This really is a ‘perfect storm’. There are so many threats that have moved into view, that I am surprised that we do not see some real hysteria over it all. Of course, the problem is our ‘dumbed-down’ population and the evil cooperation by the morons in the mainstream press.
Add in the Universities and their attempts at ‘social engineering’, and you truly have a recipe for disaster. So, let’s look at some of the other pieces in our Apocalypse Puzzle.

PIECE #5: Israel
This is, by far, the most important piece, because it is Biblical. God has spoken of His promises to the Children of Jacob. He promised that He would return them to Himself. He promised that He would bring the children of Jacob back to the Land of Israel, and then cleanse them.

PIECE #6: Anti-Semitism
Satan has ALWAYS been an anti-Semite. Always.
If you need a demonstration, just look at history. The only people that were more hated than the Jews, were the Christians. And no, I do not include the Catholics. The Roman Catholic Church murdered tens of millions of Christians throughout the Middle Ages and afterwards.
But, why the rise in hatred of the Jews among ‘christians’?
PIECE #7: Demographics
We are now in the midst of a gigantic shift in population. North America and Europe have declining populations – as do Russia, China and Japan. In fact, the developed world is plagued by a shrinking population.
The consequences of this situation will be nothing short of catastrophic. You will see some articles in the research section that deal with this, and this problem has been clear to everyone for a very long time.
PIECE #8: The Rise Of Electronic Currency
You will probably need that mark to do electronic transactions. That mark might be your password, your cryptographic key or the ID that the system uses to track your electronic transactions.
Whatever the case, this is really the first time that we’ve had a truly viable competitor to paper currency. Bitcoin has taken the world by storm, and the banksters are piling in. And, when you see the bankers pile in on ANYTHING, you know that there will be trouble ahead.
PIECE #9: The Science Of Deception
Last week, I talked about ‘delusion’. The Bible has spoken of it as being a part of the Last Days. God promised that He would send ‘Strong Delusion’ to those who do not love the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:10-13) And, our society often speaks of ‘The Art of Deception’.
Well, there are major players out there that have perfect this art so well, that it would be more properly called a ‘science’.
A Unique Moment In Time
We really live in a unique moment in time. Our forebears in faith have always wondered how The Last Days would look. Well, we know.
The pieces are falling into place, and the picture of a perfect storm should be obvious for all to see…
…if they are willing to see it.

As the drums of war beat more loudly, some of us are closer to Eternity than others. The Last Days were always going to be like that, so none of this should be a surprise. The only thing that really worries me is where you will be, when your time to step into the next life comes.

Most of you will have a longer road to walk. But, none of us will make it out of this life, alive. Even those who make it to the Rapture, will still exchange these dead and dying bodies with those that are eternal.
So the question remains about what you will be doing with what is left of the life that you have.
Are you really dedicated to serving God with all of your heart, mind, soul and body?
If you aren’t, then you need to ask yourself, why. And, while you are at it, you should be inspecting your soul and spirit.
What kind of fruit do you have?

Dragons, Deception and Depression
For some of you, this is probably the most important article that I wrote, in 2017.

Depression
I have known the anguish, grief and soul crushing weight of depression for probably 30 years. It didn’t begin as bad as it is now, and I’m not completely certain WHEN it began.
Nor am I certain of the direct cause for this. Part of it is due to Hashimoto’s Disease. Part might be the ravages of my near-death by pneumonia, as a teenager. Another part might come from the experience of being bullied in elementary school. And, there are other injuries and events that might also be the cause. But, there is one cause, that I know without question:
God.
I was saved at the ripe old age of six, and then… on a school bus headed home, I dedicated my life to serving God, in whatever way the He would choose. I was 12 years old, and decades later, when I cried out to God, to relieve me of this affliction, He asked me if this commitment was still true.
It was. It still is. I am content.
Just as Paul asked the Lord three times, to relieve him of his affliction, I have done pretty much the same. And, the Lord has given me the same answer. And, since God is not fickle or capricious… since God suffers with us… since God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us… since God promised to never lay a burden upon us that we couldn’t carry…
…well, I know that my condition is necessary.
I would change nothing.
For those of you who suffer with me, my hope is that you will one day be able to say the same thing, from the heart. If you cannot do that now, I understand. It takes time. But, I am living proof that this day will come, if you give it that time.
When I first came to Taiwan, I was planning to begin a ministry that would help those brothers and sisters who suffer depression. My goal was also to teach others who did not suffer, to help those who did.
For me, the guiding principle is found in this verse:
…and weep with them that weep.
– Romans 12:15b
I do not understand why our love has grown so cold, that we can no longer bear each other’s burdens. Our churches are no longer places where the injured can find rest. Worse, our churches afflict the afflicted.
I am currently reading through the Book of Job, and I see an evil in our churches that is just like the ‘friends’ who afflicted poor Job. They were vile and horrifying in their attacks, and I have seen many ‘christians’ do what they did. To me and to others.
Do not be the ‘friends’ of Job.
The day is coming, when all too many will suffer overwhelming grief. And, it will come, in part, because of the coldness in our hearts.

The current, high tech civilization started dying a little over ten years ago. What began in the 1800s, races towards an inglorious end and the death of billions of people. And, you know nothing about this, because our dear leaders do not want you to know.
In fact, these same ‘dear leaders’ undoubtedly tell themselves that our fantastic empire will continue, that nothing can shake this great ship as it travels into the night. But, not all is as it seems, and that jolt you felt in 2008 was the same kind of iceberg that sank the unsinkable Titanic.

Remember that an oil well is just a straw with a pump attached to it. And, there’s a limit – described by physics – to how far down that straw can go and still suck out oil. Once you reach the limit, there’s nothing that you can do, but stop pumping oil.
The world is littered with oil wells that had to stop pumping – just as Spain is littered with gold and silver mines that stopped producing gold and silver. Remember that the US used to be the Saudi Arabia of oil. Now, it isn’t.
Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia has hit its own limit in her ability to produce oil. It’s downhill – and has been downhill – from here on out. And, there are more and more people who want their share of the oil.
What will people do, when they don’t get the share of oil that they feel that they deserve?
Unfortunately, history shows us the answer:
The death of the system in a holocaust of death and destruction.

The System is Dying II – When Growth Stops
In both the natural and geopolitical world, there seems to be one law that that is universal – at least on this planet. And that law is:
Systems grow until they die.
Look at ANY biological system at the macro level. That system grows and grows and grows, until it runs out of food, and then rapidly dies – to be replaced by a different biological system that does the same thing. And, scientists have wondered at this seemingly mindless, unchanging rule of nature.
Of course, it has its roots in the Fall of Man and the Garden of Eden, but you can’t expect scientists to read the Bible.

Up to that point, any and all ‘progress’ by mankind was marginal. There weren’t very many scientists. There weren’t very many teachers or professors. There was barely enough extra food to feed the population and allow a few rich people to play at being a ‘scientist’.

Please understand that there isn’t a single geophysicist, oil expert or petroleum company that doesn’t predict that Peak Oil is coming. In fact, if you dig around and look hard enough, you will find their predictions on when Peak Oil will arrive. And, you need to understand that.
Peak Oil
To put it another way:
Among experts, there is no debate over the existence of Peak Oil.
There is only debate over WHEN it occurs.
Do you understand the difference?
You need to understand that difference because a lack of understanding will cause you to ignore the need to prepare for the inevitable. You also need to understand the fact that you are not being told the truth. And, there’s a principle that points to the reason why you are not being told the truth:
Never believe someone whose existence is based upon your belief in them.
And the corollary is…
Anyone whose existence is based upon the need to believe that a certain thing is true, will always believe that this certain thing is true.
So, when I say that you are not being told the truth, part of the reason is that those who should be telling you the truth are telling THEMSELVES lies. That’s right. Self-deception is rife in the oil industry. In any industry. But, the ‘self-deception’ is only a part of the deception.
How Many Will Die
I don’t care who you are, but if you understand the world… you know that there’s a limit to everything. If you are smart, you can push that limit higher. But, there’s still a limit.
Is humanity smart?
Look around you.
Do you see smart people in charge?
Right. So, the ‘limit’ won’t be pushed as high as it can go, which leaves us with this question:
How many people can survive on Earth, when morons are in control and the oil is gone?
Well, there was a billion before oil. The advent of oil allowed us to learn a lot of cool stuff – most of which requires oil to be cool. But, our planet is being run by morons.
Yes, I believe that we can sustain our current population of 7.6 billion people, without oil or coal, if everyone works together and is smart. But, history shows us that people don’t work together, and smart people are never allowed to be in charge.
So, how many people can survive on a planet without oil or coal, and with morons in charge?
My most optimistic guess is about half of what we have right now.
Can you imagine what the world would be like, when we kill each other, to the point where half of the world’s population is dead?
And, before you tell me that this is years away, let me remind you that the killing starts when one nation with weapons starts running out of what it considers to be its right. America has already run out of most of its oil, and is subsisting on imports and useless fracking. America has the best weapons on the planet. It is already the source of 90% of the worlds pornography and heroin.
What do you think America will do, when lack of oil becomes a problem?

The System is Dying III – Fall of the Republic
Take the time to analyze history, and you will find remarkable similarities to our current age. So many countries have followed the same path and suffered the same, painful conclusions.
Unfortunately, this means that the freedom, democracy and the rule of law will disappear and be replaced by slavery, dictatorship and injustice. Every country in the world has experienced this, and now it’s time for the United States of America.

Very few Americans understand that before Rome was an empire, it was a republic. Even fewer Americans realize that the United States was directly modeled after the Roman Republic. The language of America was English, but it might as well have been Latin. And, when you look closely at the Roman Republic, you see remarkable similarities.

What is the approval rating, among Americans, for the US military?
About 80% (according to Pew Research)
When you think about that figure, then you KNOW what is going to happen. Unless something comes along to tarnish the image of the US military, there will eventually be a military takeover of the US. And, the average American will demand that it happens.
Oh, and who has Donald Trump surrounded himself with?
Right.
Generals.
Of course, North Korea could ‘rescue’ us from this question by launching an EMP attack upon North America. That would also put the military in control of the US, but for entirely different reasons, and under cataclysmic conditions.
I just don’t know how much more corruption that America can take. And, I don’t know how much corruption God will tolerate, before He pours out His wrath upon the US. Since I am neither the average American, or God, I can only wonder at when we hit the limit that results in disaster.
We are hitting Peak Corruption, and that’s NEVER a good thing.

The Balfour Declaration – 100 Years
Thursday marked the 100 year anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. It laid the groundwork for the completely legal distribution of land rights to the Jews, as the foul and evil Ottoman Empire was being dismembered. And, make no mistake, the Ottoman Empire was truly corrupt and Satanic.
(Remember the Armenian Genocide?)
It was also a moment in time that marked the spread of the idea of the Nation State. The monarchies were dying. The ‘divine right of kings’ was losing recognition. And, it was the high water mark for Christianity in Europe and North America. After that, it was downhill.
Never forget that the founding of the State of Israel and her success has been entirely due to the Christians.

I shudder to think about what will happen in the coming months and years. We have defiled ourselves, and the Bible speaks of the judgment that ALWAYS comes when a people have corrupted themselves so thoroughly.
Yes, we continue to give lip service to God. But, when God judged Israel and Judah for their great sins, they were doing the same. With their mouth they praised God, but with their heart, they were chasing after the sins of the flesh.
Judgment ALWAYS comes first to the House of God. Always. Then, it will come for the rest of the world. The recipe for avoiding this judgment is the one given by our Lord and Savior:
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
– Luke 21:36
I believe that another important milestone has passed us by on the road towards judgment. My earnest prayer is that all of you might be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass.

Satan faces many barriers in his attempt to bring his counterfeit messiah into this world. I’ve been involved with computers, in one form or another for almost 35 years. I’ve learned several programming languages and used a few of them professionally. I’ve built and fixed more computers than I can count. I’ve helped set up networks for businesses. I’ve written highly technical API guides for software engineers. And now, I find myself struggling with the job of VPS webmaster.
This has given me a view of the challenges facing Satan, as he attempts to bring about his one world order, with his faux messiah at the helm. Those challenges have reduced dramatically over the 35 years that I’ve been watching them, but there are far too many left, to make a true ‘one world system’ work in the way that the Bible describes.
Of course, we’re getting there, and we would already be there, were it not for annoying humans with their unwillingness to dump old hardware. Also, getting humanity to agree on just one network topology, and make that network universal and unbreakable…
…well, it’s worse than herding cats.
There are just too many ways to mess up a network, and there are too many morons willing to try. Yes, there are many, many – far too many – stupid people who do incredible damage to computer networks. Sometimes, I’m one of those stupid people, but there are people far worse than myself, causing insane amounts of trouble.

Christians have been talking about the Great Tribulation from the moment that Christ proclaimed its coming. It will be the most horrifying and awful moment in time, since the beginning of Creation. It will be so bad, that you would rather die than go through it.
That is COMPLETELY understandable.
Likewise, it is completely understandable to want to know how long the Great Tribulation is. If you are going to go through it, you’d like to know how long it will last.
Horrible times are always more bearable, when you know when they will end.

So, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the Great Tribulation is NOT seven years long.

The bad news is that there WILL be a Tribulation, and you are going through it, unless you die of old age. The hard part will be about three and a half years, but it will probably feel like a million.
The Apostle John saw the pain and suffering that we are going to go through. He knew that it was going to be unimaginably difficult, but his words were:
…Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
(Revelation 22:20)
For whatever reason, the suffering of the Great Tribulation is necessary. And, it MUST come before Jesus returns. So, I accept it and look forward to it. Though I tremble at the thought of it…

The Last Days Accelerate – Jerusalem
Donald Trump just did the one thing that I did not expect him to do:
Recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel
He promised to do that during his campaign, and he delivered on that promise. And, I’m not used to American Presidents doing that – especially, when it comes to Jerusalem.
The side-effect of this event, will be a heating up of conflict in the Middle East and an acceleration of The Last Days. I believe that this is a very big deal, and I suspect that you will agree, when you see the evidence that I see.

What Really Matters – Zechariah 12
A Big Leap Closer To Ezekiel’s Fire
When I wrote my book, I had three choices for a name:
Ezekiel’s Fire (Ezekiel 39:6)
Isaiah’s Sun (Isaiah 30:26)
Zechariah’s Horses (Zechariah 12:4)
All three of those names and all three of those verses speak to the same moment in time. And, the howls of outrage over Trump’s declaration on Jerusalem are bringing this moment of time closer and closer. But, Trump will have nothing to do with that ‘outrage’.
All that I have written in this article, should tell you that everyone shouting in outrage, are just looking for an excuse to shout. But, it’s an excuse that will destroy everyone who tries to pick it up.
Satan’s minions are destroying themselves with this ‘burdensome stone’, and it is a joy to see. It is also a part of God’s plan for these Last Days, and Jerusalem will lure these minions to gather together and fulfill the prophecy written across four chapters, Ezekiel 36, Ezekiel 37, Ezekiel 38, and Ezekiel 39.
All four of those chapters speak about the time in which we live. Chapter 36 is the most general. Chapter 37 is more specific. And, chapters 38 and 39 speak directly to the events that will finally bring Israel into salvation, by faith in, and relationship with, Jesus Christ – their only true Lord and Savior.
That day is coming, and it is the core of the book that I wrote, Ezekiel’s Fire. It’s free, and it might just save your life.
