Why Apocalypse Now

How we got to where we are is utterly fascinating. What an intricate series of events and historical movements that led us to this horrific moment in time.

For thousands of years, we’ve been puzzling over how the prophecies of the Last Days would be fulfilled. Well, we no longer need to puzzle over it. We now have most of the pieces and a better understanding of the picture.

The only question is whether we can fit those pieces together properly. It’s a big challenge, and I’ve been trying to do this for years. The good thing is that I’m better at this than before.

Why Apocalypse Now

I am hardly someone that you should trust implicitly. My list of mistakes, errors and failures is long and well documented. Just look back over this website. You’ll see plenty of bad analysis, bad sources and just plain bad writing. And, one of the reasons why I never delete any of that, is so that you’ll understand that I’m as flawed as anyone else.

Seriously, never trust what I say. Always seek out what God says in the Bible and see if what I say is a match. Of all the things that horrify me, leading someone down the wrong path is close to the top.

So, if you can prove me wrong on ANYTHING, you will get a lot of praise from me.

And yes, I really mean that.

I say all that, because what I will try to do now is show you the pieces of an intricate puzzle and try to demonstrate how they fit together. It has taken me a long time to see all this, and I’m sure that I will have gotten SOMETHING wrong here.

PIECE #1: Energy

If you’ve ever had to haul building materials around, by hand, you know how heavy it is and how much energy it takes to move that stuff. One of my brothers and I once built a rather large, stone-and-concrete terrace in our parents back yard. Tons of stone. Tons of concrete mix. Lots of digging.

And, just a wheelbarrow.

Our neighbors would see flatbed trucks unload pallets of stone and concrete in our driveway, and then watch it slowly disappear. Eventually, they’d all come an peek into our backyard to see what we were up to. They wanted to know what was going on, and were understandably worried about their property values.

That was some of the most exhausting work that I’d ever done, and I was a fit young man and an athlete. My brother was the same. I thought that we were pretty strong, but THAT was a real test of strength.

Now, the hardest work was done by the trucks that hauled the concrete and stone, the quarries that extracted the stone and the concrete factories that made the mix that ‘glued’ it all together.

Think about how that would have worked, if we didn’t have gasoline to power the trucks or coal to power the electricity of the factories that made the trucks. Just look at history, if you are having trouble thinking about all that by yourself.

Life was hard, brutish and short, before we discovered that coal could power our factories. We initially used wind and water power, but coal was so much better. And, that was what powered the first and second industrial revolutions.

We were then able to produce trains and ships that ran on coal, but we ran into difficulty, when it came to agriculture. There, the horse was king, as it had been for thousands of years.

It was only with the discovery of the uses for oil, that gave us the ability to banish the horse and replace our equine companions with the tractor. When the tractor came, one man could do the work of two, then three… then four… and now …the tractors of today allow one farmer to do the work of 50.

Remember that we all need to eat, and for thousands of years, it took a lot of farmers to support someone who wasn’t. When my own country rose out of the American Revolution, it took nine farmers to support one non-farmer in the 1770s. And, this meant that you’d need several farming families to support a teacher. You’d need even more to support manufactured goods.

It was a hard life, but it was the only life, if you wanted to eat. And, we’ve forgotten all of that, because few of us are farmers. In fact, only one in fifty two are farmers in America. That’s all that it takes to feed everyone in the US.

Because of oil, one farmer can feed 52.

Because of that one farmer, 52 of you get to do scientific research, work in a factory, deliver tomato sauce, serve in the military, compose music, program computers, fly airplanes, record YouTube videos, drive trains and read articles from some guy living in Taiwan. That one farmer, with his incredible tractor, is able to produce all the food that you need, so that you are free to be a non-farmer.

Having the ability to feed 52 people has allowed the world to spend time developing technology. Most of you don’t understand the laborious process of discovering scientific principles, so you might need to trust me on this one. It takes a HUGE amount of time and effort to discover the principles that allow engineers to create the technological marvels that we take for granted in our society. And, scientists and engineers need to eat.

So, because of oil, we have the ability to fly. Because of oil, the average person in America can whip out a piece of plastic and travel to the far ends of the globe. Taiwan sits at this ‘far end’, and I see every kind of people from everywhere in the world.

Because of oil.

So, because of oil, we have seen this prophecy fulfilled:

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

 – Daniel 12:4

I certainly have run ‘to and fro’. In fact, I’ve flown around the Earth, twice. And, in my fifty years, I have seen the greatest explosion of knowledge that the world has EVER seen.

All, because of oil.

You take all that for granted, but it really is a miracle. It’s absolutely amazing. But, oil cannot last forever.

So, when will all this delicious energy that has given us so much… stop?

People have been ridiculing Peak Oil for a while, not really understanding what they were talking about. Peak Oil isn’t about the END of oil. It’s just about the cost of getting oil out of the ground.

When the cost of getting oil out of the ground gets too high, then we will stop drilling for it. It’s that simple.

Unfortunately, humanity has a problem. We don’t like to lower our standards of living, which is why we go into debt when things turn bad. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that, but I certainly have.

Take a look at your neighbor…

What happens when he gets a better job or a pay raise?

Usually, he buys a better car, gets a bigger house and starts taking expensive vacations.

Does he stop doing that when his paycheck is cut, or he loses his job?

Of course not. He just goes into debt to pay for his lifestyle, until he finds another job – or runs out of debt.

The same is true, when when inflation hits. When costs go up, people still maintain their expensive habits. Habits are hard to break, or even brake, and people normally fuel their habits with debt until they run out of the ability to borrow.

This is EXACTLY the same thing with the oil industry. Instead of downsizing or doing research into other promising areas of energy production, oil companies doubled down. They got into debt, until they ran out of debt.

The irony of all this is that our current financial system was built by the oil barons who created the oil industry in the first place. All the big banks in the US were started by oil. And, they needed those big banks to fund the expansion of their oil fields, to transport the oil and to knock down anyone who would dare to compete with them.

Now that oil is becoming more and more expensive to produce, that same financial system is handing them truck loads of debt. And, just like your feckless neighbor, they’ll keep doing what they are doing, until they run out of debt.

What happens then?

Of course, that word doesn’t actually mean what we think that it means. Apocalypse is Greek, and it’s spelled like this:

And, it’s pronounced like this:

It means disclosure or revelation. It’s why, in the original Greek, the book of Revelation is called Apocalypsis Ioannou (Revelation of John). And, there will be an interesting and deadly revelation, when the true cost of oil is revealed.

Oil brought us TO the Last Days, and its rapid decline will play a big role in making the Last Days horrific. Even as we speak, China is getting ready to start a war in the South China Sea, over oil. And, I believe that a big reason for the coming of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39) will be due to oil – or a close cousin, natural gas.

PIECE #2: Cycles Of Empire And War

I have to thank Martin Armstrong for really demonstrating this so well. There have been others who did their own work, showing that there were cycles in history. But, Martin really brought it home.

There really is a cycle to government, war, finance, peace and pretty much anything else in human behavior. Because our lives are short, we only see a small part of those cycles, but we have innumerable historians, whose work still lives on, that demonstrate these cycles.

Think of all the truisms that have become a part of our language:

History repeats.

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.

History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme. (not from Mark Twain, by the way)

If you have been a reader of Omega Shock for long enough, you’ll see this point made again and again. And, if you have been reading your Bible, you’ll see that throughout the Old Testament. And, right now, we’ve run into the down slope of empire – the American Empire.

As you look at history, one thing becomes completely clear:

  • An old empire becomes sloppy, complacent and corrupt. It weakens and falls under the weight of its own foolishness.
  • A new empire rises to replace the old. It is energetic, optimistic, inspired by its own sense of greatness.
  • The new empire over-extends itself and then must work to keep what it holds.
  • The new empire becomes old, fat, sloppy, complacent and corrupt. It’s army and navy becomes mercenary. It brings in foreigners to do what its citizens will not do themselves.
  • It falls under the weight of its own foolishness.

The American Empire has become old, fat, sloppy, complacent and corrupt. It was the powerhouse of the world. It could destroy any who challenged it. It was unstoppable.

It gobbled up the empires of Europe, making them servants to its own view of the world. Any who challenged American hegemony were crushed. It had its failures, but over all… no one had ever created an empire as big or as powerful as Pax Americana.

Unfortunately, America has stumbled and is in a headlong fall. It relies on technologies that have little hope for success against those countries that have had years to design ways to defeat them. Americans have become ignorant and dishonest. They have lost the will to even defend the empire that they created.

Worse, the Christians, who were the preservation and lifeblood of America, they have become so worldly, that you can no longer tell the difference between those who have accepted Christ, and those who have not.

The American Empire is on life-support. And, it only survives because there is no one quite ready to challenge it. Europe thought that had a recipe for empire, but it was only a pale reflection of a corrupt America. Russia gathers allies for its own bid for power, and China does the same.

It is clear to me that the coming of Gog and Magog will part of a major effort to grab power, to knock over the old empire and replace it with a new one. That effort will fail, and it will fail because God will send a fire described in Ezekiel, Isaiah and Zechariah.

I call it…

Ezekiel’s Fire

…And, it’s coming right on schedule.

PIECE #3: Grand Solar Minimum

I have been slowly-but-surely dragged into the understanding that we are due for a Grand Solar Minimum (GSM). If this is true, then we will experience the same conditions of previous GSMs.

What are those conditions?

Well, they aren’t pleasant, but here they are:

  • Big Earthquakes
  • Devastating Tsunamis
  • Massive Volcanic Eruptions
  • Huge Storms
  • Ice Age Weather
  • Crop Failures
  • Solar Flares – big ones

You are probably scratching your head, wondering where you’ve heard stuff like that before. So, here it is:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

 – Luke 21:25-26

You’ll be hearing more about this from me in the future. I will certainly be paying attention to it.

PIECE #4: Self Delusion

In my 50 years of life, I have NEVER seen such self-delusion. It is everywhere. You can’t escape it. It’s as if our civilization has chosen insanity as a way of life.

How is this possible?

How have we gone so insane?

Europe invites hordes of barbarians into their midst. Our leaders claim that Islam is a religion of peace, ignoring more than a thousand years of history – and the evidence of our eyes. Ours societies claim that homosexuality is normal. Every perversion is celebrated. Our politics have become obscene. Up is down. Black is white. And, Satanism is now cool.

And, the Russians hacked the US election?

And, to add insult to injury, a belief in a Flat Earth is actually growing.

But, this was all foretold in the Bible:

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

 – 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

If you believe in a Flat Earth, then YOU are one of those that Paul is talking about. Unfortunately, all the other insanity is included. You’ll certainly see some of it in the research section. Utterly, absolutely, INSANE.

But, let’s add more verses:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

 – Romans 1:21

And, here’s another one:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

 – 2 Timothy 3:1-7

Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth… THAT describes a host of pastors and Christians that I’ve had to deal with. The amount of dishonesty and corruption in our churches is suffocating. In fact, that whole list is a damning accusation towards Christians in North and South America, and Europe.

I am truly shocked at how awful we have become. I am constantly on the lookout for those who have integrity and a love of the truth, and I find very few. So very few.

But, this was prophesied, so I need to try and temper my outrage with the knowledge that the Last Days were ALWAYS going to be like this. I’m just so sorry to see it.

What an evil age for us to live in.

The Joel Richardson Flat Earth Challenge

I recently watched a video by Joel Richardson, where he issued a challenge to any Flat Earther who is willing to put his belief to the test. Joel said that he was willing to fly with a believer in a Flat Earth from Santiago, Chile to Sydney, Australia and back, on a direct flight on Qantas airlines.

If the Earth is flat, that flight should take 44 hours, one way.

However, Qantas says that the flight takes about 12 hours, one way.

The challenge goes like this:

If the flight takes about 12 hours, the Flat Earther pays for both tickets.

If the flight takes the amount of time that you would expect from a Flat Earth – about 44 hours – then Joel Richardson will pay for both tickets.

That’s a pretty good challenge. I’ve noticed that there are Flat Earthers reading Omega Shock, and I’m sure that they could pool their funds together for such a challenge and send someone down to fly with Joel Richardson. But, I’m also betting that none of the Flat Earthers will actually take Joel up on his challenge.

Because Flat Earthers are cowards.

That’s right, Flat Earthers are cowards. They are also lying liars without a shred of integrity. They have no interest in the truth and are more interested in their fantasies about a Flat Earth.

Did you know that there is a Flat Earth International Conference?

That’s right, there is, and it’s here:

It’s on November 9th and 10th, in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a sick and twisted psyop, designed to mock Christians and Christ. It is a Satanic abomination, and all who follow this abomination are setting up our Lord and Savior for mockery.

So, for anyone who dares to object to my contempt for this belief in a Flat Earth, either take up Joel Richardson’s challenge, or shut up and sit down. I am sick of this cowardly dishonesty. Flat Earthers have allowed themselves to become minions of Satan, and it should sicken all true Christians.

To put it more bluntly to Flat Earthers:

Either put up, or shut up.

I truly hope that you’ll be ready for this

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.Proverbs 22:3
