SPECIAL REPORT: Viji Varghese (aka, V the Guerrilla Economist)

For the last three or four years, Viji Varghese represented himself as a high level insider for the Royal Bank of Scotland. In reality, he sold televisions for Best Buy. The closest that he ever came to finance was his brief stint as an assistant branch manager, before being fired for not submitting a ‘suspicious activity report’.

Viji conned his way on to radio programs and YouTube interviews. He got himself on to Coast-to-Coast AM, SGTreport, USAWatchdog, the Hagmann Report and who knows who else.

And, he made a LOT of money.

I first heard him in 2013 and knew that he was lying, but I did not have proof. Now, I do.

SPECIAL REPORT: Viji Varghese (aka, V the Guerrilla Economist)

I hate doing these reports. I did one last year, and I hated doing that one too. But, my love for the Body of Christ compels me to seek the safety of my brothers and sisters. It is our duty, and I take mine, very seriously.

At the same time, I need to be careful that I do all of this in love. A good friend reminded me of this, and I appreciate that reminder. And, Mrs. Little will be VERY unhappy with me, if I do not act in love.

(You do NOT want Mrs. Little mad at you!)

More importantly, God will have something to say to me, if I do not act out of love. And, I fear God, most of all.

Is Viji A Christian?

Let’s start with the most important element of this, his claim to having faith in Christ. Of all his claims, nothing is more important than that. And, the following statement from a one-time friend of his indicates that he was:

In the beginning our relationship was based on spreading the Word and to wake people up to the fact Christ is real and His prophecy is coming true right before our eyes.

I will be getting to the source of that statement, a bit later, but the main point is that Viji showed all the characteristics of a true, born-again follower of Jesus Christ. The fact that he turned away from Christ, to follow the world… is truly awful in all the worst ways.

This is a tragedy, beyond anything that I can properly explain in words. For someone to grasp a hold of the path of eternal life, and then forsake it… It’s almost too much to comprehend. But, Jesus spoke of such in His parable of the sower:

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

 – Matthew 13:22

Now, you might say that being ‘unfruitful’ does not mean that you go to Hell. I’m sorry, but that is not true. Jesus spoke of that, here:

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

 – Matthew 25:30

That was from the parable of the talents, and I hope that we all take this to heart. Yes, ‘outer darkness’ might not be Hell, but it sounds like hell, to me. Please do everything that you can to stay out of that awful place.

My hope for Viji, is that he will repent and seek to undo the wrong that he has done. Time is running out for this world. For all of us.

What Did Viji Do?

He lied.

A lot.

And, he was very good at it.

Unfortunately, for our society, lying is not necessarily a crime, if you are careful about how you do it, and when you do it. I am seeing reports from people that claim criminal wrongdoing on his part. But, I don’t know the details of the case, and I’m not a lawyer.

When the Lord Returns and begins the Millennium, I believe that lying will be impossible, for those who enter the Millennium. Furthermore, those of us who rule and reign with Christ during the Millennium and in Heaven… well …there will be no dishonesty of any kind.

I look forward to that day, with great passion. But, until that day comes, I sit in grief over activities by people such as Viji.

But, Did Viji Commit Fraud?

The question is whether Viji Varghese committed a crime. Apparently, the answer might be ‘YES’. Again, I am not a lawyer, but under 18 U.S. Code § 1348 – Securities and commodities fraud, the answer seems to be that a fraud HAS been committed by Viji Varghese.

Here is the relevant text, via Cornell’s Legal Information Institute:

18 U.S. Code § 1348 – Securities and commodities fraud

Current through Pub. L. 114-38. (See Public Laws for the current Congress.)

Whoever knowingly executes, or attempts to execute, a scheme or artifice—

(2) to obtain, by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, any money or property in connection with the purchase or sale of any commodity for future delivery, or any option on a commodity for future delivery, or any security of an issuer with a class of securities registered under section 12 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78l) or that is required to file reports under section 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78o(d));

shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned not more than 25 years, or both.

The above text – as of January 5th, 2017 – can be found, here:

Whether Viji is guilty of the above, will require trial by a court of law. But, it sounds like Viji will need a lawyer.

There is another troubling quote, and it’s this one:

In reading the articles written in the past month by Michael Erevna for his website Revelationnow.com, one of the interesting quotations of V to Michael Erevna was the mention of revenues of $6,000,000.  Whether this was an accumulation of income over a several year period, or that of one year, it is an incredible sum of monies. As an ex-banking auditor, I began to wonder under what business name such sums were reported to the IRS, or whether these monies were ever reported at all.

To make that much money over such a short amount of time, is very troubling to me. Having exited the investment industry twenty years ago, I know that legitimate brokers act on fairly slim margins. One and two percent is considered a lot. Sometimes higher fees are considered fair, under certain circumstances, but… six million dollars?

For someone with no formal investment training?

I smell something VERY rotten. HOW rotten is a little hard to deduce, with all the rhetoric surrounding the information that I’m pulling from the sources where I acquired the above.

Angry Rhetoric From Sources

You’ll notice that I have not cited my original sources, for the above – yet. I normally cite my sources immediately, and I will cite those sources in just a moment. The problem is that the sources are also making additional allegations that may, or may not, be true. And, I am attempting to keep a clear head on all of this.

I believe that at least some – if not all – of the allegations in these sources are incorrect. I’ve been an investment advisor and I managed a small, in-house mutual fund. Every person in such a position will have stories of recommendations made in good faith, that did not turn out well for the client – at least, in the short run. I have stories like that.

I believe that the allegations against Steve Quayle are just such a story. He believes in what he recommends. And, I suspect that he believed that Viji was who he said he was. I know people like Steve – emotional, processing the world through feelings, dramatic. Objective, introverted thinkers like myself tend to feel a little ‘run over’ when spending too much time with people like that.

My Sources

And, I’ve had my disagreements with Steve Quayle, but I’ve never detected a note of dishonesty with him. I question his judgment, but not his honesty. And, I believe that the sources below are incorrect in their accusations of Steve Quayle:

Unmasking “V” The Guerilla Economist

Unmasking “V” the Guerrilla Economist

Abracadabra: “V” The “Guerilla Economist” (Viji Varghese) Vanishes Resume Credentials!

Unfortunately, this next one troubles me…

Hagmann & Quayle Take Down Their Lies “Setting The Record Straight”

Hagmann & Quayle Take Down THEIR Lies “Setting the Record Straight”

I don’t know what to say about that last one. I did not want to post that link, but honesty compels me to do so. If the allegations are true, there is something going on that I do not understand.

I have seen too much corruption in churches and among those who call themselves Christian. Therefore, I have to reveal EVERYTHING that I know, and hope that the truth will be revealed.

Before writing this, I sent emails to Steve Quayle and Doug Hagmann, asking for their side of the story. Steve responded that he could not comment due to ongoing litigation.

Threats Made To Me

I also received a message that implied a threat of litigation, if I went forward in my attempt to reveal what I believe to be the truth. It is possible that the threat was not genuine. It is possible that the person who sent it, was not the writer of that threat. The threat might have been made in a moment of fear and anger.

I understand all that. I get it. I am trying to keep a rational view of that threat, whether real, or not. But, let me make something extremely clear to all involved:

NEVER. THREATEN. ME. EVER.

If you do that, I will double down. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I have been asked by a trusted friend who knows the issuer of that threat, to consider it to be unintentional. I have accepted that.

Sorry about saying all that, but I have found – to my dismay – that I am not a very reasonable person.

Now, where was I… ah yes. Evidence.

Two More Sources

Here are two pieces from another site:

The Ambush of Guile: The Rogue Money Wire Fraud of V-the Guerrilla Economist
https://trackingmeroz.wordpress.com/2016/12/30/the-ambush-of-guile-the-rogue-money-wire-fraud-of-v-the-guerrilla-economist/

The Sudden Identity Crisis of the New York Connection
https://trackingmeroz.wordpress.com/2016/12/23/the-sudden-identity-crisis-of-the-new-york-connection/

Again, I consider many of the allegations on those sites to be… in many ways incorrect. I certainly hope that they are. Unfortunately, there are a couple of things that I can say that are NOT complimentary to Steve Quayle and Doug Hagmann.

My Biggest Problem With Steve And Doug

The problem is this:

I’m willing to accept that they were dupes – that they were conned.

I am NOT willing to accept their response, when they realized that they were duped and conned.

What did they do?

Nothing.

Silence.

This allowed Viji Varghese to continue his dishonest activities. And, those who were hurt by that silence… that suffering will be laid at their feet, when they stand before the Lord.

To paraphrase what God said to Ezekiel, “Knowledge confers responsibility.” Here’s the verse:

When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

 – Ezekiel 33:8

Steve, Doug, you were wrong in withholding your warning of what and who Viji Varghese was and is. If any have been harmed by your silence, God will have something to say to you about that. And yes, it is that serious.

We are about the truth. Our job is to shed light upon the darkness – to our own detriment, if necessary.

Last January (2016), I was forced to submit the following report:

My Report on Nathan Leal

My Report on Nathan Leal

Before submitting that report, I asked Steve Quayle, Doug Hagmann and David Lankford to provide their side of the story, so that I could include it in my report. Steve gave me something. Doug gave me nothing. David wanted a phone call.

In a situation like this, I do not do phone calls. If you cannot put it in writing, first, don’t expect me to call you, or accept your call. This is serious, and I don’t play games.

In the case of the report that I am giving you now, Steve was the only one to respond. I am not exactly certain who was the one that threatened me. I did receive an email from a mutual friend, that I respect.

The Cult Of Secrecy

Of all the ‘players’ in this sordid affair, the one who has been the most honest, is Steve Quayle. I believe that others have given him bad advice. I believe that there are some principles that he is guided by that are not Biblical.

I call it:

The Cult of Secrecy

The Body of Christ in America is infected by this desire to keep everything secret – to never air dirty laundry. It is everywhere in America, and it is how Satan has been able to subvert and destroy so many churches in America.

So, let me make another point, that I live by:

I. DO. NOT. KEEP. SECRETS.

Do not ask me to. Never ask me to shut up, or hold back information that is pertinent to the health and safety of the Body of Christ.

If you do that, I will shout louder.

Never ask me to shut up, but if you ask me to remember to act in love… – as someone did – …I will. I will always try to.

CONCLUSION

Ultimately, this is a tragedy. A young man, who could have chosen to serve the Lord, chose the path of greed and dishonesty. Others who had the opportunity to stop him, did not. Those who were hurt by all of this, still do not know what to do.

Worst of all, the reputation of our Lord and Savior has been damaged. It is the literal meaning of the word blasphemy. It’s a Greek word. Blas means damage. Phemeo means reputation, or fame.

When our actions have damaged the reputation of Christ, we have blasphemed God. For a brother in Christ to do that… it is beyond horrifying.

My hope is that all who read this, will understand the seriousness of this crime – and yes, it is a crime. I hope that those involve repent of what they have done, and commit themselves to undoing the damage that they have done and commit to doing better in the future.

I’m sure that there is more to this than I have revealed here. If anyone has anything to add, please feel free to leave a comment. If more information arrives – or if I receive more threats – I will provide updates.

Yours in Christ,

John Little
