Peak Oil Apocalypse

I talked about a perfect storm, yesterday. And, as I look back on what I said, I can only say that the conclusions are completely inescapable. As this perfect storm approaches… and starts to rip away at civilization’s facade… the world is going to come crashing down around us. It didn’t have to happen this way, but it is GOING to happen. And, God has said that it would happen.

More than 25% of the Bible describes the Last Days, and most of that description is horrifying. But, when you think about the true implications of just Peak Oil… well, the devastation described in the Bible no longer seems so astonishing.

Peak Oil Apocalypse

I used to wonder why science and technology exploded in the 20th century. It was amazing to see the course of history putter along for thousands of years with just a few innovations along the way, and then see a massive explosion of science, technology and… well… everything. It was as if someone flipped a switch.

But, I speak in the past tense, because I now know the source of all this magnificent progress.

According to, the average US farmer feeds 155 people. But, that wasn’t always the case. In 1940, one farmer could feed 19 people. More than a century ago, one farmer fed two and a half.

What made the difference?

Science, followed by technology.

But wait. Science requires scientists, and scientists need to eat.

So, how did we get science going?

That’s why science and scientific innovation didn’t really accelerate until the 1960s.

And yes, I do know that there are other factors involved, but food production has always been the single most defining constraint on the development of civilization.

What gave farmers the ability to produce enough food to feed enough scientists so that they could produce even MORE food?

Try plowing a field without a tractor and see how far you get. And, there really is only one efficient source for the fuels that a tractor needs – oil. Use anything else, and your food production goes down.

So, if you want to know where our fantastic civilization comes from, look no farther than… oil.

For a closer look at this, watch this video:

There’s No Tomorrow (peak oil, energy, growth & the future)

YouTube shortlink:

I know that the title of this video sounds awfully pessimistic, but it really isn’t. Unfortunately, when you think through what is shown in that video… you realize that there’s much that they’ve glossed over.

What the movie doesn’t talk much about is our inability to adjust our way of thinking. And, when things get bad, we press harder on the accelerator, making things worse.

Then, we go over the cliff and crash.

And… that’s pretty much how human history has worked. And, that’s what we are doing now, with oil.

Now, take a look at this graph:

A Brief History of Oil & Humans (
A Brief History of Oil & Humans (

In 1804, human population was one billion. It was two billion in 1927. It was three billion in 1960. It was four billion in 1974. Five billion in 1987. Six in 1999. And, seven billion in 2012. Estimates are that we’ll reach 8 billion in 2027.

Unfortunately, that won’t happen.

We could putter along as a population at one billion without oil. You could even make a case for being able to sustain a population of two billion without oil. Even three…

…but, more than that?

Okay, yes. If we all worked together and went back to farming like our ancestors… we could support all of that. But…

Do you really think that the global elites will go for that?

Of course not.

Global War

So, since we are NOT going to prepare ourselves for a decline in oil production, we are going to kill off billions of people. Or, more accurately, they’ll kill each other off, with the help of those psychopaths that are running the governments of this world.

Do you honestly think that the US, Europe, Asia, etc. will sit still while their standards of living crash?

Of course not, what a silly question.

This means that we are going to kill each other.

Can you see why the descriptions of the Last Days in the Bible are so awful?

But, I bet that you’re thinking that all of this is in the future. Right?

This Is Now

Not so fast.

Please understand that the US Federal Reserve has been pumping massive amounts of cheap money into the global financial system, and that has kept everything afloat. Furthermore, that has kept the ‘fracking accelerator’ pressed to the floor.

When the cheap debt turns off, fracking will turn off. And, when fracking turns off… it’ll be katy bar the door.

Now For A Bit Of Speculation

That means the true state of the world’s energy problems will be completely revealed. Food prices worldwide will rise dramatically. People in already marginal economies like in Africa and the Middle East will explode into revolution. Areas in central and South Asia will be in full riot.

No one will be doing well. No one.

The US and Europe will have collapsed, but they’ll look good by comparison, for a while. They will take advantage of all that to grab and protect as much as they can. But, that won’t last long.

America Destroyed?

Russia and China will not stand idly by. And, both of those nations have had decades to prepare countermeasures for Euro-American military superiority. People have had visions of nuclear war in America, and this is where that would happen.

Once Europe was neutralized and America out of the way, Russia and China would have a free hand. And, we know what Russia will do with that ‘free hand’ – Gog and Magog. And that means Ezekiel’s Fire.

What was left from the wars and devastation wrought by our own hand will be crushed by this Fire described in Ezekiel 39:6.

So, when does the collapse of cheap debt start this avalanche of disaster?

When It Begins

Any moment between now and 2018. There is a moderate probability for this year. There is a high probability starting in the Fall of 2015. 2016 sees the probability go extremely high. After that… well, it’s anybody’s guess.

Are you going to gamble on the future?

The Summer is ahead of us. Now is the time to prepare for the absolute worst.

Are you ready for this?

Please Educate Yourself About Peak Oil

This really is a life and death issue, and you owe it to yourself to understand it:

There are a ton of resources out there, so there are lots of opportunities to learn. And then, share what you know. As God said to Ezekiel (Ezekiel 3:16-21), about those who see danger without giving warning, the deaths of those who die will be held against you.

  1. By God’s grace I want to live to the end in faith, knowing that I will not receive the promises on earth, but seeing them and welcoming them from a distance, I confess that I am a stranger and a pilgrim on the earth. Instead, I long for a better country, a heavenly one. In this way, God will not be ashamed to be called my God, for He has prepared a city for me. May I, like Moses, esteem reproach for the sake of Christ as of greater value than all the treasures of this world, because I am looking to the reward. (Hebrews 11:13, 16, 26) God bless you my brother and all who read your writings.

  2. Your scenario will eventually come to pass BUT probably not as soon as you think. There are still “curious works (Ex 35:32)” to be discovered. For example many experts believe oil is being constantly renewed (Black Gold) and the ingenuity of desperate people is not taken into account.
Rest assured however, all of these crisis will bring millions to Christ, faster than if they lived their lives out at their own pace. In the end we win if we have surrendered the war to Christ.

On previous posts, I must say your financial expert (Martin something) is playing with fire when he advocates democracy over a republic. He may be financially savvy but he is politically stupid.

    • Hi Willard Aztec,

You could be right, and I truly pray that you are. Unfortunately, my responsibility is to report what I see and give the most realistic assessment that I can.

You refer to ‘many experts’ in connection to ‘constant renewal of oil’, actually, I’ve only heard of one. And, he admits that he has no evidence that his theory is true.

Furthermore, even if oil is being continually renewed, it is doing so very, very slowly – in geological time, not human/political time. So, the end result is the same.

Hubbert wasn’t talking theory when he spoke of a worldwide peak in oil production. He was talking math.

Math doesn’t care about theories. It just is.

As to Martin’s theories about democracy vs. republic. I haven’t heard him talk about that. I do know that many of his observations about the American political system are remarkably astute.

      Thank you, Willard!

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little

  3. In his “Energy Non-Crisis” Lindsey Williams was onsite when oil was discovered on a small island off the coast of Alaska. The regulators said, “Shut it down.” When natural gas was found in wells from which they were pumping the regulators said, “Pump it back into the wells.”

Surely you don’t think I believe the regulators…

    • Hi JC,

I like Lindsey Williams. I consider him to be a thoroughly honest and sincere man. However, he is NOT a geologist.

Furthermore, there is no way to keep a massive oil find on the order of Saudi Arabia a secret. You just can’t. There are too many geologists who know what a good oil deposit looks like.

And, even if we DID find something like that, it would only delay the inevitable by just a few short years. Stick a fork in us, ‘cuz we’re cooked.

      Thanks, JC.

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little

  4. Again I am no longer a Christian, but if I still was this bit of news would have started ringing bells with me:

Recall the mark without which no one can buy or sell. This is not an example of a mark, but IT IS and example of how right now WORLD WIDE buyinhg and selling can be interdicted and stopped, for EVERYONE. Add in the mark, throw in some anti-New Testament doings with the mark and you can see that right now Christians can be made to face no ability to buy or sell unless they BOW ON BENDED THE KNEES.

    • Hi Jim Eagle Feather,

You are absolutely right. Those of us who are ALREADY overseas (such as yours truly) have become very much aware of FATCA and what the US government is up to. Those guys are just soooo not good.

Excellent comment, Jim, as always. I’m still creeping up on you, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce and wrestle you back to Christ. (Yes, yes, I know. I’m a dreamer.)

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little

  5. Great article, but I disagree with the peak oil stance. This has been hotly debated and the science is somewhat accurate, but like global warming it is flawed. I will say for the USA there is no shortage of oil. Most of peak oil is political in nature than science. Peak oil is more about political control than resources. There is actually scientific data and proof that oil can be replenished over time where it once went dry believe it or not. Potable water is going to be more of an issue than oil, or I would venture to say both will be used against humanity. Abba Father has a plan for the one’s who will pray, seek His Face and be obedient to His Son.. We will agree to disagree somewhat on this one.. thank you for the information..

    • Hi Alan,

Actually, there is NO scientific data to support abiogenic petroleum. None.

But, even if it DID exist, Peak Oil would still be a factor.

Please understand that Peak Oil is not a theory. It is direct observation of oil depletion. It is math, and you cannot argue with math. The best that anyone can argue is whether Peak Oil happens at one date, or another one.

I’m sorry, Alan, but we don’t have the luxury of theory, anymore. This is life and death.

      Yours in Christ,

      John Little
