Turn Off the Television and Read Your Bible

You watch about 5 hours of television a day – more on the weekends, less on the weekdays. And, you don’t read your Bible. You don’t even spend 15 minutes reading your Bible. You can spend hours sitting entranced as you gorge yourself on material produced by some of the most evil people on the planet, but you can’t find the 15-to-30 minutes every day that will take you through the one book that God uses to speak love and truth into your life.

What an appalling testimony to how far we’ve fallen. I can count on one hand the number of people that I know who actually read through the Bible each year – a task that will only consume 15-to-30 minutes each day. Don’t you know that the television is the most important tool in the hands of the globalists to keep you uninformed and vulnerable?

America and the world have been hijacked precisely because we had televisions that would tell us that nothing true can happen unless it appears on the TV screen. Well, there is plenty happening that never appears on the screen. Plenty.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I LOVE television. I love the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, The BBC and all sorts of documentaries. The good stuff, right?

But, even when I was reading my Bible in the morning, all that ‘good stuff’ that I watched in the evening was still a problem. There’s nothing like that warm sense of well-being that you get when you ‘zone-out’ in front of your favorite program. I still miss that.

I miss that feeling of ‘yesthereareproblemsbuteverythingisgoingtobealright’. But, that feeling is a lie. Things are NOT alright, and they are going to get worse and worse – until the Lord returns.

When I came to Taiwan in 2010, I gave up my cable connection and all those great, educational TV shows. Was it a coincidence that my eyes started to open, just a few months later?

Do YOU believe in coincidence?

I don’t.

Can you be aware of and prepare for what is REALLY going on as you sit distracted by the one-eyed god in your living room?

I guess that anything is possible. The fact that you’re still reading this is a good sign. (And, may God bless you for doing so.) But, are you really doing everything that you should be doing?

I’m not sure that any of us can say that we are, but I bet you that you would be doing more if you didn’t have a 55 inch flat-screen sucking hours out of your life. Remember that all it takes for Satan to win is for good people to sit and do nothing.

And, if you get rid of your TV and start reading your Bible, you would be surprised at what a powerful message that sends to everyone around you. What you do will always speak louder than what you say. You might even be surprised at what a blessing you would receive in your own life.

You could use a blessing right now, yes?

We are all going to stand before the Lord one day and give an answer for every minute we spent in this life.

Will you be able to tell Him that you did everything that you could possibly do, to serve Him?

If you suspect that the answer is no, then maybe it’s time to get rid of your TV and open your Bible.

You can’t walk with God, if you’re holding hands with the Devil.
