We’ve now come perilously close to something that some would call conspiracy theory. But, you would have to be blind not to see the fact that official explanations do not fit what everyone can see with their own eyes. The US government has been involved in the creation of paramilitary organizations across America, and the explanation that they give for this – if you can get one – doesn’t make sense.
Let’s get the facts out of the way. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ordered 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition – most of that very expensive and very one-shot-lethal hollow point bullets. The US government is giving armored personnel carriers, specifically MRAP vehicles, to police units all over the United States and these units are using them. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been setting up facilities across America with barbed-wire fences facing inwards (i.e., to keep people in, not out). Domestic police forces and the US military are being trained to recognize historically non-violent groups of US citizens as a threat to national security. I could go on, but these facts (and yes, they are facts) should be enough.
The question is why?
Taken individually, each of these facts could be given a fairly benign explanation – although, rather flimsy. But, when you put these facts together, you are left with a feeling that these ‘benign explanations’ don’t fit. In fact, there’s just no way that a rational person can look at all this (and the other undeniable facts) without coming away with a profound sense of dread.

Fact 1 – DHS has ordered 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition
The scoffers have argued that they haven’t taken delivery of all 1.6 billion rounds, that it’s just a cost saving measure – that it’s a five-year contract that just gives them the ability to take delivery of ‘up to’ 1.6 billion rounds. But, 1.6 BILLION? Really?
Who are they planning to go to war with?
Fact 2 – The US government is militarizing police departments
I know that those MRAP vehicles are cool and that we have a huge surplus of them since we no longer need them in Iraq. But, did you know that they are expensive to maintain?
Worse, you have surely noticed the dramatic increase in SWAT raids with these MRAP armored personnel carriers, for no better reason than to serve a court summons. The police have been given deadly toys, and they’re expected to use them.
Have we really become such an unruly society that we need to use such heavy-handed tactics all of the time?
Why are they doing this to us?

Fact 3 – FEMA internment facilities – or, FEMA Camps
I had been hearing stories of FEMA Camps being whispered about in the alternative media, and I’d discounted those stories for years. But I’ve had to come to the conclusion that these facilities are real. Too many photos and too many credible reports cannot be denied any longer. There really are unmarked facilities across the country with barbed wire fencing designed to keep people in – not out.
Here is where I depart from some of the more rabid conspiracy theorists. These are not death camps. These are not execution centers. I believe that these camps were set up for the purpose of keeping society from collapsing in the event of a national emergency. And yes, when things fall apart, you will need to declare martial law, and you will need a place to put people who object to this.
You will also need a place where you can house and feed lots and lots of people. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina illustrated the need for FEMA to be better prepared.
But, wait a minute…
That all sounds very logical, but why are they being so paranoid about communicating their intentions?
Why are they preparing for martial law, and not telling us about it?

Fact 4 – Police and the military are being trained to see us as a threat
I agree that homegrown terrorism is a very real possibility. There are enough crazies in ANY society to make you want to be ready for one or more of them jumping out of the bushes and lobbing bombs at you. But, we’ve been handling that problem for decades. Why are we suddenly so fearful of any person with unconventional views?
Worse, why is the US going after peaceful Christians and elderly conservatives in lawn chairs?
Undeniable Conclusions
As we work our way through my series on Undeniable Facts, it is getting clearer and clearer that something is wrong – that what we are hearing does not fit the facts. You and I may disagree on the reasons and intentions that lie behind the undeniable, but we can no longer deny that there is a problem – and that we must do something about it.
It is time to get ready.
