Apocalypse – The Four Horsemen

Everything that I’ve been talking about in this Apocalypse series leads to one thing: death on a massive scale.

If you read the Chris Martenson article that I referenced yesterday, you would have seen this graph:

Human Population growth and Oil
Human Population growth and Oil

There is a direct correlation between oil production and human population. Yes, I understand that it is a complex correlation and that there are many factors involved, but the correlation is undeniable. Growth in human population has exploded and the single greatest cause of that explosion is cheap energy.

If you’ve been reading this series, you know that there are limits to the amount of energy we can produce. The question is what happens when we bump up against those limits.

Well, we don’t have to guess. We know the answer to this one: we go to war.

Did you ever wonder how the Roman Empire got started?

It’s no mystery. They were farmers.

When a farmer has sons, he sends them out to find new land to farm. That means that there is at least a doubling of land under cultivation every generation (assuming large families and good health).

What happens when you run out of land to cultivate?

You either fight or go hungry.

You can guess what the most common choice is.

Well, that’s how the Roman empire got started. They chose to fight, and they were very good at it.

The developed world has bumped up against limits on oil, and they have a choice: fight or go hungry. Which do you think they will choose?

That’s right, they will choose to fight. Have you noticed the location of all the major wars that we have fought in the past 35 years?

Where the oil is.

But, that was BEFORE we hit our oil production limits. Now, we’re starting to go hungry for oil. What do you think happens next?

We’re going to go to war on a massive scale.

That sounds a lot like something out of the Book of Revelation:

1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. – Revelation 6:1-2 (KJV)

But, when I look at this passage, I have the feeling that we are past that. The Illuminati and the world banking system has gone out and conquered a vast empire for itself already. Every country in the world has a central bank that is beholden to the world banking system. But, this is not to say that this first horseman has finished his ride. The Illuminati Empire continues to tighten its grip.

This next passage is more familiar:

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. Revelation 6:3-4 (KJV)

The wars over oil have already started. Hundreds of thousands have already died, and the death toll is going to increase.

And, I think that we can recognize this passage also:

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. Revelation 6:5-6 (KJV)

What we are talking about is scarcity. The basic requirements of life will become (and already are) expensive. There’s not enough for everyone. And, as this horseman continues to ride, the situation will continue to get worse and worse.

Doesn’t that sound familiar?

It certainly sounds familiar to me.

But, I do not think that we have seen this next one yet, and THIS is the horseman that scares me the most and the one that we are about to see ride:

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Revelation 6:7-8 (KJV)

If this horseman has not already begun his ride, he is about to, and it will be terrible indeed. Almost two billion people will die before the ride of this horseman is finished.

You must prepare.
